YOUNG UKRAINIAN FAMILIES SUPPORT FUND:
GOODWINE CHARITY PROJECT

In January 2023, the Victoria charity fund commenced its operation. The fund was created in memory of Victoria Zamchenko (Kovalchuk) — goodwine sommelier, who was killed on October 17, 2022 as a result of a drone attack launched by russia on Kyiv. Both Victoria and her husband Bohdan passed away. The couple was expecting a child. The Fund's activities will be aimed at supporting young Ukrainian families.

"Victoria has been working in the company for 6 years and was one of the best sommeliers in Ukraine. She often said: "We should pity ourselves much less". Her death was devastating for all of us, but we decided to transform our pain into good deeds. The fund will implement the projects thanks to which Victoria’s name will be remembered"

  • The first part of the project was the release of wine made in partnership with the Ukrainian winery Stakhovsky Wines. Merlot 2019 called Victoria is available in goodwine and Bad Boy since January 2023. Victoria singled it out in her latest review of Ukrainian wines.

On November 2023 we created the second wine together with the Ukrainian Beykush Winery. This is an orange wine made from Rkatsiteli, once Vika also highly rated this wine. This is a limited wine, only 702 bottles were produced.

  • The second part: a vineyard on a separate plot of land owned by Serhiy Stakhovsky created by goodwine and Stakhovsky Wines. The estimated area of the vineyard is 0.5 hectares, and the amount of wine to be produced is about 5,000 bottles. According to the preliminary plan, the first vines will be planted in the spring of 2024, and the first wine harvest can be expected in 2028. This Ukrainian Pinot Noir will also be called Victoria. All proceeds from the sale of the wine will be donated to the Victoria Foundation and will support young Ukrainian families.

  • "We want to plant the Burgundian Pinot Noir vines and start producing incredible wine. We’re already actively searching for worthy vines in Burgundy. We are thankful for the support of our partners, respected and world-renowned manufacturers who have expressed a desire to participate in the project"
